Khitam Abuzeyada
Assalamu alaikum! My name is Khitam Abuzeyada, and I am proud to be the Arabic teacher at Albayan Academy. I have a bachelor’s degree in education from Al-Azhar University and have previously taught Arabic and Islamic studies at the El-Swedey International Academy of Cincinnati. I have also been the founder and director of MGTC (Muslim Girls Teen Club) for over 12 years.
I have a passion for working with youth and helping them progress in all areas so they can reach their potential. I believe that the next generation holds a lot of promise and they will be able to do great things Insha’Allah.
I enjoy traveling, hiking, baking and spending time with my family. I am beyond excited to teach our awesome students Arabic and help them develop a deep connection to the language and its culture.

Hala Ayesh
Hala Ayesh is the administrator of Al Bayan Academy. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati with her Bachelors in English and Comparative Literature and continued her Masters in Secondary Education. She aspires to be an asset in the community and help children, as well as her own, become leaders of the future to make this world a safer, happier, peaceful place for all to live in harmony.
Layth Alkhafaji
Mr. Alkhafaji started teaching mathematics and physics from 2005 to 2007 as a tutor. Then, he returned to education as a substituting for the southwest Ohio schools in 2017. In addition to that, Layth has B.S. in Civil Engineering where he expressed his passion in Mathematics and Physics though out his 30-year carrier. Now, he is teaching the same courses to show the new generation the power of mathematics and physics and how much of the world depends on them. Mr. Alkhafaji transforms complex ideas into simple ideas for students so they can understand it and love the subject. He like sports, ping pong, tennis, and loves to design and build things.

Ruba Alkhatib
Ruba Alkhatib is the gym teacher of Al Bayan Academy. She has a bachelors in Sports Management and Training from the University of Hashemite in Jordan. For the past ten years, she has been a personal trainer and looks forward to using her experience and expertise with the students of Al- Bayan academy.
Marzieh Hatamzadeh
Mrs. Marzieh Hatamzadeh is the science teacher at Al Bayan Academy and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, a Bachelor of Art in Psychology and a Master’s of Science in Health Informatics. She comes from a family of educators and has extensive experience in developing and promoting STEM Education programs in the Greater Cincinnati region. She has held leadership positions in the academic and non-profit sectors. She has many years of experience in industry and clinical research, as well as innovation in healthcare and well teaching in academia. Her passion lies in nurturing future generations by promoting their education and growth.
Nicole Reckner
Nicole Reckner is the English Literature teacher at Albayan Academy. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health from Miami University of Ohio, a background in substitute teaching, and many years of working with children of a wide range of ages. She has spent the last 10 years in various youth volunteer roles and has a strong passion for making a positive impact on today’s youth through interaction and education. She is a passionate and thorough writer and is looking forward to teaching what the joy and long-lasting influence of English Literature can bring. In her free time she enjoys making cakes and cookies and spending time with her children.
Yusuf Sheikh
Yusuf Sheikh is the world history teacher at Al Bayan Academy. He is currently pursuing a double major in Political Science and Law and Society at the University of Cincinnati. He is also a Youth Group counselor at ICGC and volunteer at various institutions. He is excited to begin this adventure as a world history teacher and hopefully nourish a connection with the students of Al-Bayan.
Mudassir Syed Sharieff
Mudassir Syed Sharieff is the Quran teacher at Albayan Academy! He memorized the Holy Quran at the age of 17 and then continued his noble journey of seeking sacred knowledge by enrolling in the 7-year Alimiyyah program at Darul Uloom Al Madania in Buffalo, NY. In 2019, he graduated with notable distinction with a focus in theology, jurisprudence, philosophy, logic, and Arabic grammar.
Mudassir is not only fluent in English and Urdu, he is also proficient in Tajweed sciences and Classical Arabic. Mudassir is an outstanding teacher and mentor with more than 7 years of teaching experience at his Darul Uloom.
As part of Albayan Academy’s hiring procedures for all staff including teaching/non-teaching personnel, Ohio Revised Code 3319.39 requires all appointing/hiring officers of the board of education or of a chartered nonpublic school investigation to conduct a criminal records check with respect to any applicant who has applied to the school district, educational service center, or school for employment in any position.
The appointing/hiring officer will request that the report include information from the federal bureau of investigation in the criminal records check and an bureau of criminal investigation report (BCI) is also conducted, these two checks are important and an employee cannot be hired without both being complete.
It is to be stated, Albayan Academy also consults the Educational Profile Database on the Ohio Department of Education website as part of preliminary screening during hiring procedures.
